  • Casa Buenas

Every once in a while, a restaurant surprises me. May it be a particular dish, their interior, quality service, or by sheer ingenuity. This time, for the first time for so long, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by my all around experience at Casa Buenas. Yes! It is a dining experience one should try. As you enter Casa Buenas, you are greeted with stunning ‘Bahay na Bato’ inspired interior design. Stunning, even, is an understatement. In my opinion, it was breathtaking. Having studied Architecture and not being able to research about the restaurant before we dined, I was literally in awe! The really nailed the subtle modern take of…

  • Burgundy in Cambodia

A few months back, I was fortunate enough to visit Siem Reap, Cambodia. It was my first time and I was beyond excited. I was given a very specific itinerary which was exactly what I needed. I was able to meticulously plan out my looks for each of our temple visits. This was part of the itinerary that was also time specific. We had to leave the hotel at around 4 AM to catch the sunrise at Angkor Wat. After the sunrise, we were also set to go back to the hotel and eat breakfast before heading out, again, to tour around the other temples. Taking note of the time…

  • 1978

Montebello Villa Hotel invited me along with my friends, Ching Sadaya of chingsadaya.com and Chennie Montero of @chenniemontero on YouTube, for a fun shoot. This was also in partnership with Tour de Cebu 2019. Ofcourse, the first question I had in mind was, “What should I wear?” The 1978 film ‘Grease’ is what immediately popped in my head! Well because… vintage cars! This look was literally easy to put together since I already had a concept in mind. Also, the pieces needed for this look are literally staple wardrobe basics. I started off with a plain white shirt that’s somewhat fitting. Not too tight, though. You don’t want to look…

  • Juan Effect: It’s time for Bohol

Cebu Pacific Air launched a sustainable tourism advocacy called “Juan Effect” two years ago. This is to educate and encourage travelers and locals alike to help preserve the environment. Tourism is one of the Philippines’ major economic driver. More than just presenting and showcasing what our country has to offer, tourism generates employment opportunities and creates an atmosphere conducive for businesses to thrive. This means a huge chunk of our fellow Filipinos have tourism as their main source of income. Take note, ‘main’ source of income. We simply cannot afford to just let our beautiful destinations degrade. This is where Cebu Pacific Air’s “Juan Effect” advocacy comes in. It’s quite…

It has always been a problem. Finding gifts for men is a daunting task. Last year, I did some gift ideas that might interest your guy. This year is a little different. These will be gift ideas which your guys might ‘need’ as well or they did not know they need. Also, I am now considering the quality of the products so I’ll be recommending specific items too. Hey! Us guys can get a little rough with the things we use. Haha 9. Swiss Army Knife This might come off as an unconventional gift to some but this portable tool is very useful! Specially for guys who are handy. This…

  • CebuDoc Spectral CT Scan: A first in the Philippines

It’s actually amazing that I have never had to go through a CT Scan. If ever I will be advised to get a CT Scan, Cebu Doctors University Hospital would be the only place I would head to! Why? Simply because the world’s first and only detector-based Spectral CT with Ambient Experience is now in CebuDoc! Albeit a very expensive acquisition CebuDoc is committed in bringing the latest diagnostic technology for the Filipinos. With the pursuit of providing excellent healthcare in mind, CebuDoc is the first in the country to install Ispectral CT Technology with Ambient Experience that helps in reducing patients’ stress and anxiety. • A Kilo of Kindness 2019

Now on it’s fifth year, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts’ ‘Kilo of Kindness’ global charity campaign still lends a helping hand to people in need one kilo at a time. The first time I heard about this initiative, I was immediately in awe of the title. All because it defines something intangible into something visible… into something that has weight both figuratively and literally. This year the ‘Kilo of Kindness’ campaign calls on guests to donate at least one kilo of food, clothing, and educational supplies. Of course, you can donate more kilos if you want. You actually don’t have to be a guest to donate. You can always head to…
