Tops in Cebu City is a definite tourist destination if you want to get an unparalleled view of the city! We’ve brought so many of our friends here and we never get sick of the view. It’s just awesome! I always have fun looking at buildings and identifying them from here.

This look is actually way over due! I wanted it to be shot during our vacation in Baguio. There was this scary abandoned building where we were supposed to visit. We weren’t able to wake up on time so we missed that visit. Haha So I set the whole look aside. It was way back in May! Haha Finally got a chance to have this look shot in Tops. I think it suits the place just fine. =)

The whole look depended on the jacket. Well, I chose the jacket before anything else because I like it a lot! Haha It wasn’t that hard to pair up. I just made sure there wasn’t anything else that clashes with the jacket. Like a printed shirt or flashy pants (which I don’t have). I seriously love the print on the jacket. It’s the highlight of this look. The shirt and pants are in solid colors. However, they are colors which you can find in the jacket. The color of the shoes and it’s sole can also be found on the jacket. These are small details which compliments the jacket without making it look odd. Always look for details, they can save you… sometimes. Haha =)

Ahoy http://jessejake.com/2015/ahoy/ http://jessejake.com/2015/ahoy/#comments Sat, 07 Nov 2015 13:48:00 +0000 http://jessejake.com/index.php/2015/11/07/ahoy/

A few months ago I had a chat with a friend on facebook. As usual, I used stickers and one of my favorites was “first mate.” My friend suddenly said that it was a good look to take inspiration from. I couldn’t agree more! Haha Thanks for the idea Redd!

If you check out the sticker on facebook or clicked the link in the first paragraph, you would notice the sticker was wearing blue pants and yellow shoes. I could’ve gone in that direction but it could have gone too costumey. I was aiming to make this look more realistic.

Realistic it is! I was on my way to the beach just to hang out. No plans of going swimming. I traded the blue pants for blue shorts. Switched the yellow shoes, which I do not have, for brown leather ones. These pair of leather shoes had grip. So, I was never worried of slipping.

I really like the outcome. It was comfortable, fun, and still very nautical. It was appropriate for a stroll at the beach resort.

You guys might be wondering if I’ve always had a red hat? Well, I don’t. Haha I borrowed that from my girlfriend just to complete the look. It fits perfectly, though. Anyway, you can always take inspiration anywhere. Just make sure to make it your own. So that it will fit your body type, your style, or to where you are going. Oh, make it realistic too. You might end up looking like your going to a costume party!

Gloom Tour http://jessejake.com/2015/these-past-few-days-have-been-gloomy/ Tue, 01 Sep 2015 10:58:00 +0000 http://jessejake.com/index.php/2015/09/01/these-past-few-days-have-been-gloomy/
These past few days have been gloomy. It kinda reminds me of the time my girlfriend and I went to Baguio on her birthday week. It was one hell of a week. Well, it was just a few days but it was fun filled! No time was wasted… okay, there was this one time when we slept too long and skipped some tourist spots. Haha We can always go back anyway.

These photos were obviously taken there. This was during our first day in Baguio. We went to every cliche tourist spot n Baguio. Haha We are, afterall, tourists there! It was tiring and I actually thought it was really cold but I ended up sweating like a pig! All is well, though, because we had so much fun. By the way, I only wore the jacket for the photos. I just carried it around because I’d faint if I wore all day. Haha

I really like this jacket even if I didn’t get to wear it as often as I could. It felt like a flashback from the 90’s but still blends well in this decade. I really like it. I will definitely wear it when it’s freezing cold.. because cold will not be enough to make me shiver! Haha

This look started with the jacket! I had all my looks planned for the whole trip. I saw this jacket and knew that I had to use it. So, I went to my wardrobe and see what fits. I was a bit hesitant in pairing it with the tartan button down because of the similar tartan lining of the jacket. It turns out they are of different tones and, somewhat, complemented each other. Okay, I had to try it on before I decided to pair them up. All the other pieces such as the pants and shoes came in with neutral colors. If they weren’t. this look would’ve been a mess! Like mushed grass, leaves, and soil kind of mess. Haha I like this look but I think next time I find myself in Baguio, I’d stick with my shirt and shorts combo. It’s still not cold enough, there, to be all cooped up in clothing.
