It’s been raining hard these past few days but that’s not stopping me from blogging about my summer! Hey, the weather still isn’t cold enough for me and I also have an upcoming poolside escapade this weekend. The weather maybe moody but it seems like my schedule is having a summer hangover! Haha

About more than a month ago, my blogger friends and I decided to go on an outing at Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort. It was long overdue and it finally happened! Funny thing is that as soon as we settled down at the resort, we immediately scattered in pairs and took ootd’s. The photo shoots lasted for half the day and we finally met up again for lunch! Haha Yes, that’s how we roll. Photo shoot before anything else. It’s, somewhat, our own way of making a day productive.

Of course, after the photo shoot. We spend quality time together. Swam for hours until our skin were burnt. Okay, we didn’t have sunburn but we were definitely a shade darker. We did what we came there for! We had so much fun and had loads of output for our blog. It was productive and fun at the same time!

So this is the look I wore on the way to the resort. I leaned towards complementing the tattered jeans with this look. I really love this pair of jeans which is why I decided to make the entire look revolve around it. It’s a statement piece! White and blue was the clear way to go. I created breaks in between to make it more dynamic. The tank top and the shoes are white which makes the jeans a boundary between the two pieces. My sunglasses, snap back, and jeans are in shades of blue which makes the white tank top a boundary between the accessories and the jeans. There are loads of ways in making your look dynamic and fun!

Summer Chill http://jessejake.com/2016/summer-chi/ Sun, 19 Jun 2016 13:27:00 +0000 http://jessejake.com/index.php/2016/06/19/summer-chi/

My introduction to summer was just how I wanted it to be. It was very chill and relaxing. My friend and I didn’t expect it to be spontaneous but hey it ended up to be one! Haha We had a little adventure and we got what we wanted. We had fun and peace of mind! =)

We were supposed to camp out on a famous camping site in Bantayan Island. When we arrived there, it turns out the site was closed due to reasons we are uncertain of. Anyway, we decided to look for other areas but we didn’t like the beach fronts of the two resorts we checked. So, we decided to have lunch before looking for other resorts.

After lunch, we decided to walk with our huge backpacks! Nope, we’re still not backpackers! Haha It was all good because we’re positive beings. Good thing my friend, Dianne, had an awesome idea of walking along the shoreline until we get to a beach front that we like! As you can see in the photos, we found the perfect spot. We laid our tents at Yooneek! It’s a lovely place and the vicinity was still peaceful since we came to the island a week before peak season starts!

I don’t know about you guys but I really find it convenient to wear a button up on the beach. I can take it off when I decide to swim and wear it again, unbuttoned, when I’m just chilling. Ofcourse, you still have to check if your button up is made of the right material. Something that would probably dry up fast. If you have one that’s hydrophobic, that would be great! Haha
The Turquoise swim shorts paired perfectly with my polka dotted button up. Yes, that button up has tiny multi colored dots on it! Haha I think it paired up just because of the blue draw string of my swim shorts. Okay, it could also be because they’re both on the same side of the color wheel! Eitherway, it works like a charm! =)

Long Line http://jessejake.com/2015/long-line-shirts-have-been-here-for/ Sun, 13 Dec 2015 03:38:00 +0000 http://jessejake.com/index.php/2015/12/13/long-line-shirts-have-been-here-for/

Long line shirts have been here for quite some time now. However, I was immensely hesitant to wear one simply because the ones I found were way to long for me. Haha I needed one that could transition me from wearing standard length shirt into long line shirts! Luckily I found it! Haha

This one is from Penshoppe. It’s awesome!!! I really like the fit and it really broke me into wearing long line shirts. Now I have like 4 long line shirts waiting for me to wear. Haha It’s just right, it’s long but not way too long. I think it’s because Penshoppe is a proudly Filipino brand thus their measurements are made to fit stylish Filipinos!

Walk Shorts: Penshoppe
Shirt: Penshoppe

This was an easy combination to make. It was very risky to wear a long line shirt with walk shorts since it’s a lengthy shirt. The length was just right to bend the rules of proportion therefore it worked with this look. I seriously thought this would make me look short but I guess I was wrong. I like this look! Haha I played with lengths this time. I’ll definitely have more “length playful” looks soon! =)

By the way, you can the shirt and short at the BIGGEST Penshoppe store ever! They are at the upper ground floor of SM Seaside City Cebu. =)

Boom Pow http://jessejake.com/2015/boom-pow/ http://jessejake.com/2015/boom-pow/#comments Mon, 23 Nov 2015 15:14:00 +0000 http://jessejake.com/index.php/2015/11/23/boom-pow/

I don’t what came to my head but when I got this whole look in Penshoppe… this is the concept I had in mind! Haha Fun, quirky, colorful, crazy, and what not! I simply just had so much fun from coming up with the look to editing these photos! Haha

I didn’t have loads of comic books back then. When I get hold of some, I would just look at the pages over and over again. Yes! Just look at the pages. Well… Yeah! I’d read it once but the art just intrigues me more! Haha
Check out the pose above. I’m trying to do that basic karate punch! Haha This blog post probably took so much time to make! I’m beginning to get used to using different softwares in order to create these outputs. It’s really fun and it’s actually pretty easy.

What really inspired me to make this post very comic-ish and quirky is because of the color splattered panel on my joggers. That detail really blew my mind with ideas. Thus creating my most colorful blogpost ever! Haha

I know it seems difficult to mix and match colors when there’s more than 2 colors involved. However, you just need to keep pieces connect with each other to create a cohesive but colorful look! What I did was pair the red shirt with red kicks. I also paired the joggers with a button down of the same color palette. Do you see what I did there? haha Just pair up colors!
By the way, Penshoppe is opening the BIGGEST Penshoppe store in the country at SM Seaside City Cebu on the 27th! Follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for more details! =)
