It’s Christmas season and people are definitely feeling the gift giving spirit! I never forget that this is the month when everybody tells me that I am a very difficult person to give a gift to. The reason? I’m a guy! I’m very well aware that a lot of people, specially ladies, have no idea what they should give to a guy. So here’s a list that, for sure, a guy would like to receive this Christmas!

7. Plain Shirts

Yes! It is as simple as that! Any plain shirt will do. These are items which guys either neglect to buy or takes guys so long to buy a new one. It can be long sleeves or a basic t-shirt. Just make sure that it is in plain color unless he demands the printed ones. To be safe, you can opt for anything black or white. These are wardrobe staples which can be used multiple times in a vast variety of ocassions.

6. Aviators

Why so specific with the style of eye wear? It’s because you can never go wrong with aviators. It’s a classic and it fits any face shape. Trust me, it will look good on him. It would be best that you invest on a good brand for this so that it will last long. I’m sure your special guy will use this over and over again. Might even use it as his daily driver.

5. Portable Bluetooth Speakers

Sometimes, we also want to show off our playlist and everyone loves music. The good thing about portable bluetooth speakers is that you can bring them anywhere without the hassle of wires! That’s right, guys hate hassle. This is definitely convenient for the music lover guy.

4. Backpacks

In my opinion, a guys must at least have one quality backpack that can be used everyday. Men’s stuff are mostly bulky and our sling bags may not be sufficient and/or they are gym bags. Haha Just get the right backpack for you guy and he will use it when needed. Hey, he might be a mountaineer! You can get him that highly functional trekking backpack he’s been eyeing.

3. Headset/Earphones

Most guys are gamers or just want to shut off the noisy world around them. Earphone will surely be useful. It would be best to get the ones that produce high quality sound. Yes! The quality of sound varies mostly depending on brand. It makes a lot of difference in the whole experience of gaming and/or watching videos. If you get him those high end headset/earphones, he will automatically throw out the ones he has!

2. Watch

This is what I call a classic gift to a guy. I don’t know why but most guys naturally gravitate toward watches. We all know that our smartphones already have a watch in it. However, it is still better to take a look at the time with just a flick of the wrist. For men, watches are basically equivalent to jewelry to women.

1. Shoes

This is a no brainer! Most guys, if not all, love shoes. From sneakers to dapper brogues, guys have an affair with shoes. Haha Just make sure that you get the right size and the right style. You will surely make his Christmas a memorable one!

Believe or not, guys may have a lot in common but we have different preferences. The list I made is just a rough guide. Your guy might not be so interested in them. Luckily! Road to Flawless

I have been stressing a lot lately because there’s so much to be done and even so, I am still stuck after all that. Hahaha (Cries deep inside) All that and more really shows up on my skin! Literally, it’s not much of a break out but its the worse I’ve had in years. Good thing, Flawless has a lot to offer to remedy my skin problems. I visited them about less than a month ago regarding my current skin situation. I will be visiting them regularly and give you guys updates on the progress through my RTF series here on my blog. =)

Here’s what we are starting with! Gross, right? haha anyway, it is not that obvious but there are a ton of black heads, white heads. and all other heads. Haha There’s also a pimple or two that pops up from time to time. What I had was Flawless’ Rejuvelite Mask Facial. Really wanted to show you guys how the mask looks but maybe next time. What it does is kill the bacteria that causes all the breakouts on your skin. So that’s the first step for me.

The photo above was taken a day after the Rejuvelite Mask Facial. My face seriously felt a lot cleaner after. They took out all the dirt and all the black heads and white heads right out of my face. It was intense but totally worth it! There are spots but it has to be done to get the dirt and bacteria out of my face! No pain no gain! Haha

No worries about the spots because I got the skin whitening soap and nano whitening to lighten up those spots. Chains

Yes! I still have my fluffy gray hair in these photos. Haha Well, my gray hair wasn’t always fluffy but as it grew it went fluffier and fluffier. It took a lot of maintenance and I had no patience for that. So I decided to get rid of the color. Maybe soon I’ll give a hair color a try again but for now I’m keeping my natural color. Okay back to these photos! This pullover takes a lot of confidence to wear. Match it with the gray hair and I quickly learned how to ignore my surroundings. Haha I can’t deny that this combo will definitely turn heads.

I even remember the time when I bought this pullover at H&M. I was shopping with friends. I had my eyes set on the pullover so it’s the first one I took hold of. While looking for other stuff, I walked right back into the aisle where the pullover was hung and my friends were their talking about the pullover. They were like, “Whoa! The shirt is too much. You could pawn that. Hahaha” Trust me, it’s funnier in Visayan! Haha I even chuckled but I laughed even more when they saw the exact same pullover on my hand. They immediately withdrew what they said by saying that I am probably one of the few who could pull it off. Haha

This shirt is surely a statement in itself. For someone to pull this off, one must understand how it works. With that said, I started by understanding it’s shape. I know that pullovers have the same shape but this one is different. It falls to my body like those over sized pulllovers in the 90’s. Not the poofy ones. From there, I understood that it had to be worn with fitted pants to make sure I do not look big and, at the same time, complement the shape of the pullover. After that, everything was easy. Since the top was already very loud, I had to pair it with plain colors so as not to have the whole look implode. That’s it! First, understand the shape of what you’re wearing. Second, know the colors and make sure they do not clash! =)

Roof Deck

I really like roof decks! Haha I don’t mean the ones where there are fancy restaurants with a stunning view. Those are good too but I really like the ones that are just plain and raw. The utilities and tanks in contrast with the view is something interesting. It totally brings out the side of me who romanticizes about perfect imperfections.

Everytime I go on vacation, I always check if I can access the roof deck of the place where I’m staying. This one was when Sophia and I were staying at our friend’s condominium in Manila. Canie, our friend, was very hospitable that she made us breakfast everyday! I have to blog about that soon. I still can’t get over how good those breakfasts were. Haha

This look was what I wore on our first day in Manila. I wanted to wear something comfortable while traveling from Cebu. I know those shoes don’t look comfortable but, believe it or not, they really are comfortable. I think it’s because of the thick soles. Anyway, I also made sure that I wasn’t wearing any metal so that I won’t “beep” through the metal detector at the airport. I find it really inconvenient to take my belt, shoes, or watch off me. Yes! I wasn’t wearing a belt because of the metal buckle. Haha The pants fit me really well anyway.

I’ve always wanted to play with proportions and this one, I guess, is a good start. I saw this shirt in Uniqlo way back in summer but I was still very hesitant in purchasing it. However, I couldn’t get my mind over it so I went back and bought it! Haha I didn’t regret doing that because I’ve worn this shirt multiple times already. The ‘big short’ fit is very comfortable. It’s over sized but the length is just right. I paired the shirt with slim fit pants to emphasize the volume of the shirt. I chose to wear a black fedora and a pair of black leather shoes to lock in the look. They serve as endpoint signals for you eyes to get back to the shirt and pants combo.
